Return From Neverland

I've been neglecting the old blog lately. I've actually had some stuff I want to say, too, but I've been ignoring it nonetheless. Unfortunately (or fortunately in some circumstances), I've been rather busy and simple things such as checking the email have been pushed to the side.

I guess what I really mean to say is that I've been a nerd and have been reading Harry Potter and not been in the technological world. Not that the latter isn't nerdy either...

I miss Harry. I miss Ron. I'm in love with Ron. I'm really sad that I will never read Harry Potter for the first time all over again. So sad.

I've gotten a ton of new music lately that absolutely deserves recognition. Mostly, Arcade Fire. Period. I've been listening to them nearly daily lately, and they only have two albums and an EP. Neon Bible, their newest, is incredible. I could listen to it everyday. Oh, that's right. I have listened to it pretty much once everyday, occasionally more, since I got it two weeks ago. It's a great album that touches on big things, largely a commentary on American society, as the band are expatriates living in Canada (on the whole...one is a refugee from Haiti which is quite interesting). I've played the song "Intervention" like ten times a day lately. Itunes play count tells me only four total, but that's untrue because I also have a live version and a large portion of the times were on my ipod.

I'll probably discuss this band more later becuase they deserve it.

Meanwhile, I just bought an album on itunes that I'm digging. Derek Webb's The Ringing Bell. Of course you've never heard of him/it. Neither had I. Paste magazine had a review of it that received five stars, which never happens, and that convinced me. He's the frontman from the Christian group Caedmon's Call, which I moderately enjoyed. I heard a few tracks from his new solo album and was convinced. Plus it was only $8.99. What a steal. It's not Christian music cheesiness in the least amount, and heaven forbid, it even has a track called "A Savior On Capitol Hill."

It's really freaking hot and my hands are really hot typing. I need to go to bed I believe.
