Today is a special day. Not only is it my cat's birthday, but it is also my 19 year and 11 month birthday. That's right, I have only one more month to be a teenager. I'm planning a grandly mischievous crime. If only I had any ideas as to what... I may resort to rolling down a street like Shannon did. Unfortunately, I feel like rolling down Quail Lane, even at "rush hour," would only get me ran over by a tractor after rolling for about an hour. Not quite the same as rolling down a downtown Portland street that the Max runs down, even if it was midnight.
Very soon, I will be a score. I'll be only a year away from being 21 and invincible. Is it bad that I'm really excited to be 21 just so I can sing that song? I'm also kind of excited for a month from now so that I can sing "Happy Birthday To Me (February 15)," by Bright Eyes, even though it will be June 23 and not February 15. Hopefully my birthday will be considerably better than Conor Oberst's seemed to have been when he wrote that song. He seems rather suicidal there...that probably wouldn't be a good thing. Let's hope Cuddles isn't suicidal today, even though I used a pun with the Bright Eyes song and her birthday for the title. She did stay out very late tonight and came out from the river bank only after calling her for half an hour... The Bright Eyes song doesn't even ever actually say "happy birthday to me," it's just a fabulous song, and one of my very favorites of the moment.
Anyway, this post is wasting your and my time. Basically, I wanted to blog but had nothing important to say whatsoever. Consequently, I imagine that this will be the pattern of much of this summer. There's only so much one can say about spending eight hours daily putting dried fruit, nuts, and candy into little bags and making sure they weigh the right amount.
I will remark that the job has improved drastically from last summer since I can now listen to radio or cds. I will also comment that Kiss FM has improved similarly since I listened to it in high school. Actually, I've pretty much avoided listening to it for five years because I hated the ridiculous music that they overplayed then, but they're actually playing SOME quality music these days. Of course they feel the need to play the stupid Hinder song hourly, but they usually will play some Death Cab for Cutie, Jack's Mannequin, Guster, Aqualung, or Plain White T's occasionally which makes things more exciting.
To continue this random and pointless post, may I add that I'm currently a fan of southern Oregon because the current weather (at 11 PM) for Roseburg is clear skies and 67 degrees while Portland is partly cloudy and 59. That's the usual trend, too.
I'm currently (re)reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in order to prep myself for the movie coming out July 13 and to read this one as well as Half Blood Prince before Deathly Hallows comes out July 20. Sirius just died, and honestly, I can't remember what happens next because I haven't read this one since it came out. So, Harry's grief over Sirius is calling me.

Ahahaha You are too funny! I loved the bit about cuddles. There really must be not much happening right now down in the burg if you are trying to link that with your obsession with music. You really are obsessed by the way, You were most definately right when you put that on your emo quiz back in the beginning of the year.
I am glad that it sounds like you are bagging right now at work because that means you actually have something to do and something to keep you entertained (the music). ANd when I come visit you later in the summer I will be able to picture you there! how cool! ;)
I like how this place lets me write a lot more than they do on facebook. They always seem to cut me off because you can only use 1000 characters. That is just not enough for my chatty long winded mouth (or hands in this case, or maybe just my over active mind). HOwever, before I waste anymore of your time with my long windedness, I shall be off because Harry is also calling my name. He is quite angry with Umbrage right now . . .
p.s. I will also keep an eye out/ try to think of crazy things for you to do to celebrate your last month as a teenager. Maybe you could roll down a street in the "center" of Roseburg? Or go skinny dipping in the river behind your house late at night? or during the day if you want an all over tan ;) haha I will keep thinking, but those were a few for now.
The skinnydipping at night has been done, rest assured. Me and my friends Becca and Hannah did it in high school...we'd planned it for months, the finally did it. It was a rush, to say the least. It was pretty much get in then get out to say we actually did it, but it was fabulous. Think of a different idea...
