Chum Bucket

That's exactly how I've felt for many of the last few days, like a giant Chum Bucket.

First, a little background on the word. The Chum Bucket is the fast food restaurant that Plankton owns in SpongeBob. It's a really yucky restaurant, hence the name.

I want you to all know that I had curbed my addiction to SpongeBob so well for the last year or so, but when one is laying around recovering from surgery, what else is there to do? And I have fallen in love with the little yellow guy once again. To anyone that thinks that SpongeBob is juvenile, I strongly encourage you to watch the show, or better yet the movie. There's really a lot of humor that goes over the kids' heads.

Anyways, back to the original purpose for my post. I was going to update you all on my condition, as you have all been so supportive of me throughout my surgery and recovery. So, it's got its ups and downs, that's for sure. I've felt quite Chum Bucket-y for a while--I've had a killer headache and often a stomachache. Plus for a while I couldn't breathe because my nose was completely stuffed up, more than I could imagine. But now, 6 days post-op, I'm feeling tons better.

But like I said, it's just ups and downs because this morning I felt awful, yet by this afternoon I felt completely fine. Hannah, Val, and Hayley came over and made me feel so much better.

I guess I should also inform you all that since I had surgery on my upper jaw, I kind of look a little different now. Well right now I look a lot different because I'm swollen, not too bad, though. I've been pretty lucky to not swell that much. I think that when it's all done I should look somewhat different, but I don't think that it will be so that you can't recognize me or anything (I hope not!).

So, I'm just enjoying soup, Gatorade...I can't really say I'm enjoying smoothies or milkshakes. I think I've just had too many, and they don't appeal to me anymore. But, the good news is that I went to my doctor yesterday, and he wants me to go back a week from this friday, the 15th. He thinks that then I'll be able to eat soft foods, not just liquids! And that would be just two weeks after the surgery instead of the usual 3.

Well, this was a pretty boring post, to me at least, but I think I owe you guys a little update. Before I leave, a little shoutout to Michael M: Sorry, I know I promised you on like Sunday that I would finish my post then, but, like my post has said, I turned into a giant Chum Bucket and never gathered the energy until now. So hope you've survived to read my wonderful blog!

Wonderful blog readers: I promise a more inspiring and interesting post next time! Until then, don't get swakt, my readers!

My poor squeeksamyer! I feel so bad that you are a chum bucket. But I shall certainly come and visit you soon. And you can't be sick of smoothies yet! I was going to make a couple when I came over and then we were going to watch "Splash" remember? You should give me an evening that sounds good to come over...Like maybe Sat. night??? Ok, dear friend, I shall talk to you later!

umm... can someone please inform me was 'swakt' means? Or am I just a loser living under a rock?

TB: I might be able to handle one of your smoothies if they're as good as you crack them out to be. :) About when to come over...Are you kidding? I'm always here. Swollen, hungry. As I was just telling my buddy Justin about 2 minutes ago, I live in the Bore Dome (I meant to write "boredom", but it came out "boredome").

Kristen: I was just about to inform the blog as to what "swak" and "lbcR" are. I feel that it is crucial that I tell anyone who doesn't know immediately.

Other blog readers: I'm happy to inform you all that I'm not so Chum Bucket-y anymore. I don't feel like doing a big post on it, so that will have to speak for me.
